Winemaking:
To produce a Vintage… the best reward for those who work in the vineyard day after day. Produced solely in years when the grape is of extraordinary quality, it has body, it is strong, distinct and intense. This is Borges Vintage. The wine will stage in small oak vats develop for a maximum of 2 years. Its evolution will be complete in bottle.

Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional,Touriga Franca,Tinta Roriz

Tasting Notes:
Intense, dark ruby colour. Very intense aroma, with notes of red fruits, like mulberries and raspberries, enfolded in hints of mature black plums, eucalypt and spices revealing an year of great maturation. The wine shows a great balance between sweetness and acidity and the taste reflects the aromatic sensations which will linger into a very persistent finish enhanced by the big volume and the structure given by the firm and present tannins.

Store and Serve Advices:
Recommended serving at a temperature of 16 to 18ºC.

Food Pairing:
This vintage can be enjoyed by itself but it goes equally well with full cheeses and chocolate or red fruit deserts. A strong cigar can also be the ideal accompaniment.

Fresh minerals, fruit notes of cherry, BlackBerry and wild berries, light floral, fresh and vibrant. Well proportioned in the mouth, sweet but full of freshness, good and polished tannins, medium body but everything in place and perfect to start drinking.

The 2007 Borges is a glass-coating, opaque purple color with aromas of mineral, pencil lead, clove, allspice, and assorted black fruits. This is followed by a silky-textured, suave, savory Port with excellent depth and moderate aging potential. It will deliver prime drinking from 2017 to 2027.

A spectacular improvement on the 2003 vintage, this is a solid wine, all the elements in place. There is a tannic base on which all the dense black fruit and sweet acidity is piled, finishing with opulent ripeness.
