Quinta da Deserta is located in the heart of the Douro region, known for being one of the oldest demarcated regions in history and also for its complex and challenging terroir.
With its vineyards rooted between the rivers Távora and Douro, the combination of a very hot and dry summers plus a very cold and humid winters, translates into low yields, but with high quality grapes, such as the traditional Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz varieties.

Starting with Quinta da Deserta Premium Red 2015, that goes through a careful selection of grapes and after fermentation is finished, the wine is transferred to American and French oak barrels where it remained for 12 months. Giving life to a ruby wine, with notes of vanilla and toast well integrated with notes of ripe fruit and jam. It shows an excellent volume, good acidity and delicate tannins, in a complex and good freshness finish, with an involvement between fruit and wood.
Another wine of great prominence is Quinta da Deserta Grand Reserve Red 2014, made from Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional grape varieties, which after fermentation, aged for 14 months in new French and American oak barrels. A wine that reveals an aroma of ripe plum, spices and light nuances of wood, with a flavor that combines acidity and soft tannins that provide an elegant and surprising finish.
