The small version of the original Moscatel from Adega de Favaios is the star product of the Adega de Favaios, and gives war to the leader in the aperitif market, the Martini, especially because it is a 100% wine product, but also because of its highly competitive price.
It is made with the Moscatel Galego grape variety and its fermentation is interrupted with the addition of wine brandy, thus obtaining a wine with a high alcohol and residual sugar content (130g/L), then aging for 2 years in oak and stainless steel vats.
The trend for these little bottles was actually born in Portugal, and even Martini had to adapt to this Portuguese taste. The truth is that, in some areas of the country, Favaíto is already the market leader.
But the trend grew and crossed borders, and today, the winery produces around 26 million bottles annually.
We also decided to bring you this smaller version of Moscatel, with the advantage of being able to buy it individually and not in traditional boxes of 50 units.
