Gin is a drink obtained from a distillation process in a “Alambique”, and its alcohol content is around 37.5%. It is thought that it was born in the Netherlands as a natural medicine for kidney and digestive diseases, and only later it became popular, becoming today as the “trendy drink”.
Juniper is the predominant flavor in all gins. It has fresh aromas of balm, wood, pine and a dry, almost bitter taste. The combination of other botanicals gives each brand of gin its specific characteristics and flavors.
