The grapes are hand harvested during a period of time when the ideal balance between maturation and freshness are captured. The fruit is carefully transported to the winery in 12Kg boxes where grape bunches are hand sorted and gravity fed into stainless steel tanks where maceration and fermentation are carried out over an extended period of time at controlled temperatures.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional
Tasting Notes:
Deep garnet core with purple hues. An intense and fragrant bouquet typical of Touriga Nacional from the Tejo. A generous yet elegant structure with finely textured tannin frames flavours of juicy dark berry fruits and violets.
Store and Serve Advices:
Best served between 17ºC-18ºC.
Food Pairing:
It pairs perfectly with hot dishes, whether they are traditional cuisine (game and roasted meat) or stewed meat (seasoned, white or red). It defies new harmonisations, including with fish, being the choice of the garnish a prominent element for the pairing: rich dishes with the earth/sea confrontation. Another small trick is to use some preparation of red wine in the dish.
Allergens:
Contains sulphites.
