Today we brought you some splendid wines from Poças, a producer already well known for the Port wines, not to mention the table wines, where all profiles appear with great prominence among wine enthusiasts.
Bringing the new range of wines entitled Poças Fora da Série, the centenary company maintains its creative attitude, where they launch the Poças Fora da Série Ânfora White 2018, rescuing the ancestral method of producing wine, made from Arinto and Códega do Larinho grape varieties , that resulted in a wine with a fresh and mineral profile, with a very pleasant volume, distributed in only 600 bottles, given the exclusivity of this reference. Along with it, two other wines are part of this creation, which are Poças Fora da Série Orange White 2018, made from Arinto grape variety and Poças Fora da Série Touriga Nacional Red 2015, an elegant ruby color monovarietal, silky and with a balanced acidity.
For fortified fans, you can also find the Poças Vermouth Soberbo. A historical reference of the company, produced in the 30s and 40s, where it remembers and uses old registers and essences from Poças and integrates infusions, made with botanicals harvested on the company's farms, in the Douro region, in a more contemporary approach.
And last but not least, we present the Poças Branco da Ribeira White 2017, produced from the Arinto and Códega do Larinho grape varieties, and has received 93 points on Robert Parker's list. A white that is ready and exciting, with a very fine aroma, it is possible to feel the taste of a luxury barrel that matches this wine very well. Very clean, the spectacular and fine acidity helps to balance the whole set, which brings us to a graceful and delicate finish.
One of the very few companies to remain in the same family for so long, Poças is the Portuguese side of the history of the Douro region, which transmit in its wines something truly unique, compared to a work of art.
