Quinta da Lagoalva - and its historical, human and agricultural characteristics - provides those who visit us with experiences linked to the rural world and of a farm that is working on a daily basis. Its history dates back to the 19th century. XII when the King of Portugal hands over his lands to the Order of Santiago de Espada, after his heroic deeds in the conquest of Santarém. He belonged to this Order for 6 centuries. With the 2nd Duke of Palmela, Quinta da Lagoalva belongs to the Palmela family. Quinta da Lagoalva's 45 hectares of vineyards are located in the best terroirs of the Tagus. Here we can find national and international grape varieties with the best skills, proven oenologically. Winemaker Pedro Pinhão seeks to combine the best “New World” model with which he came into contact in several international harvests, with the very important traditional options.
