It is one of the most remarkable white grape varieties in our country, and many even consider it the best Portuguese one.

It is a super versatile variety in the vineyard and cellar, which produces unique whites all over the country, but it is in the region of Monção and Melgaço (Vinho Verde) that it reaches all its splendor, originating delicate wines, but with structure; aromatic, with notes of flowers and fruits, hints of banana, lemon, apple, passion fruit, lemongrass and orange blossom; Balanced acidity and great aging potential.

It combines perfectly with fatty fish, cod dishes, shellfish, oysters and Asian dishes.
