The Quinta da Arrancada is located south of the Serra da Gardunha, in the demarcated region of Beiras, with an area of 20ha that was acquired in 1974, where since then the owners have dedicated themselves to produce wines that transmit the excellent potentialities of the terroir.
In a first phase, they chose to replace the old vineyards with a modern plantation, investing on red grape varieties of great expression in the region such as Trincadeira, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional, in addition to white varieties such as Fonte Cal and Fernão Pires.
With the ability to vinify all the grape production on the farm itself, this is how Quinta da Arrancada wines were born, with a very complete portfolio and recognized as wines worthy of attention. In particular the Reserve wines that have a very interesting quality and that will bring even more surprises over time, such as Quinta da Arrancada Açor Reserve Red 2017. A wine composed of the Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Trincadeira varieties, full of personality, which shows aromas of discreet red fruits, spices and light notes of wood. In the mouth it has good acidity and freshness so characteristic of the region, that it finishes long conferred by good tannins.
In addition to table wines, you can also find two varieties of sparkling wines, Quinta da Arrancada Blanc de Noirs Brut 2016 and Quinta da Arrancada Rosé Brut 2015, made from the Bastardo and Touriga Nacional varieties respectively.
