Fita Preta Chão dos Eremitas Pequeno Eremita White 2025

Alentejo
In this Hermits' Land, at the foot of the Serra d'Ossa mountain range, there is evidence of uninterrupted wine production since the 14th century. In 1397, a Papal Bull exempted the Pauperes Eremitas (monks of the Order of Saint Paul, the so-called "Paulists") from taxes on their vineyards, demonstrating the importance these already held at the time. This is a special place—feel it! Two streams carry rainwater from the Serra d'Ossa, keeping the soil cool even during the intense Alentejo heat. From the same terroir and the same grape varieties, a new and fresh identity has emerged in the plots: our "Pequeno Eremita" (Little Hermit). Pequeno Eremita is a tribute to this unique place and to the grape varieties that once dominated the region's wine-growing landscape, but which have almost disappeared today.
