Product details

Winemaking:
Harvested by hand at their optimal point, the grapes are destemmed, crushed, and vinified using a process based on careful maceration to extract colour, tannins, and aromas from the skins, complemented by constant pump-overs during fermentation. This takes place in lagares (traditional stone troughs), at a controlled temperature between 28-30ºC, until the desired Baumé degree is reached. At this stage, grape brandy is added (fortification), resulting in a fortified wine. This wine is of exceptional quality, from a single harvest, and must be bottled between the second and third year after harvest. It is an originally deep, complex, full-bodied wine with remarkable aging potential.

Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional,Touriga Franca,Tinta Roriz,Alicante Bouschet

Disclaimer:
The photo shown is a copy of one of the bottles we have available for delivery. Keep in mind that the older the wine, the more likely the bottle will have some external dirt or slightly damaged labels. This does not mean, however, that the wine is not in a condition to be consumed.
The wines from our rarity zone are stored and air-conditioned in the most correct way so that the wine ages correctly in the bottle, but over time, the wine evolves and changes its characteristics.
We recommend that you carefully remove the cork and let the wine air for some time in order to release its natural aromas. Avoid decanting as it can be a very aggressive operation for old wines.
