António believes that these highlands, are the heart of the Dao and the area that has the highest potential to guard wines, the area where the wines are thiner, cooler, more austere and rich with minerals.
Since 2010 Antonio Madeira has been researching in this sub-region the places that our ancestors had chosen as the best for the vineyard, and found a number of old vines that stand out for the genuineness of their caste, the characteristics and nuances of its granite soil and sun exposure.
