The wines "Ana Vieira Pinto" are the result of a family project that united father and daughter, Manuel Pinto and Ana Vieira Pinto, a company whose main objective is to produce wines with all the typical characteristics of Borba.
The company has its headquarters in the former cellar of the paternal grandfather, Domingos Luiz Pinto (1905-1989). The entrepreneurial spirit of this odd character in the history of Borba wine, led him to start building this winery in 1940, and to expand it progressively during the 1950s and 1960s.For some years, it was the largest and most modern winery in the Borba region. Having been off during the 1990s, it has recently been the subject of structural and technological improvements, at the start of this project. The wines "Ana Vieira Pinto" 2002 and 2003 were still vinified in this cellar. Since 2004, the wines started to be developed in the new winemaking cellar, located in the Herdade da Moura.The company launched its first wine - the VQPRD Borba "Ana Vieira Pinto" Red in 2002 and the Regional Wine "Ana Vieira Pinto" Red 2002 - in September 2003. In early 2005 it launched the Borba "Ana Vieira Pinto" selected Harvest Red 2002.
Wine with soft entry in mouth, gaining volume as it will go drinking. Tannins and structure well balanced. An easy wine to please everyone.
