Founded in 2006, Engenho Novo da Madeira continues the island's long tradition of transforming sugar cane into agricultural rum, using a century-old still inherited from the historic Hinton family. The company also produces sugar-cane honey, traditional liqueurs and a distinctive vermouth made with Madeira wine and endemic plants from the island.
