Winemaking:
Vinification took place by the traditional method of treading the grapes underfoot in wine presses, as well as in stainless steel vats with automatic pumping over and temperature control. After gentle crushing and complete de-stemming, fermentation took place with light homogenization and prolonged maceration, resulting in the desired levels of aromas and phenols. The blend was aged in both old and new French oak barrels in order to preserve the fruited character that is typical of wines from the Douro. The wine was clarified and filtered before bottling.
