UP TO 17% OFF - The high scored wines in Robert Parker by Quinta de lemos

Set in the sandy and granitic valley of Dão, Portugal's oldest wine region, Quinta de Lemos is set on a plateau at an altitude of 340 meters. The Lemos family symbol, four crescent moons grouped in a circle, represents the 4 areas in which this Portuguese family explores the world, the 4 mountains surrounding this property, the 4 main local wine varieties that grow there and their philosophy of life, also based on 4 words: humanity, simplicity, vision and sharing.

Quinta de Lemos is one of the only producers that creates monovarietal wines each year, which exhibit the individual characteristics of four indigenous grape varieties of the region: Alfrocheiro, Jaen, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, working them in a special way. In addition to the monovarietal wines, the brand produces blends every year, made from indigenous grape varieties of the region, which honor the female figures of the family.

The white, "Dona Paulette", is a crossroad with wood, maintains citrus and mineral nuances, promising evolution in the mouth. Full bodied and robust, with high acidity and integrated, slightly bitter with a dry and expressive finish.

The usual pink hue of rosés gives way to a seductive liquid salmon color in this “Nélita” wine that, upon reaching the nose, reveals a full aroma of red fruits. In the mouth? Very body and complexity, but with subliminal freshness and lightness. In the end, there was no disagreement: a glass of this Manuela lends itself better to a good fish or seafood dish than to an appetizer on the edge of a sunny pool. A totally different rosé wine.

The ‘Dona Georgina’ red wine, with 91 points in Robert Parker, was named one of the five best wines in the world, receiving the “Best Portuguese Red Wine Trophy” and "James Rogers Trophy 2013" Special Award, at the International Wine Challenge. This wine made from Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz has a very deep aroma, in the mouth is dense and tasty, with present tannins that give a long and concentrated finish.

As for the monovarietals, the Jaen's exuberant balance and sensuality with notes of red fruit stands out; the aromatic Alfrocheiro recalls the aromas of jasmine and chamomile, and whose elegance is soft and velvety. For its part, the Tinta Roriz has a deep aroma of black fruit and very precise tannins, unveils in the mouth great complexity. The wine made from Touriga Nacional, a reference grape variety in Dão, is a vigorous and balanced wine, with an intense aroma and flavors that refer to plum, blackberry, bergamot or violets.

The ultimate goal is to produce the highest quality wine from the endogenous grape varieties: balanced and distinctive, reinforcing the Dão region charisma in a way that combines tradition and modernity, linking technology and nature.
