Great selection and reliable service. I just placed my second order. 1st order has been processed within 48 hrs and shipped with DHL. 18 bottles of wine arrived in 4 working days, so in total I had to wait a week (very happy with my order). 2nd order been processed in less than 48hrs and another 24 bottles are on the way. I received an email with the tracking infromation so I should have my wine by end of the week, Can't wait. Highly recommended place to shop. Great selection and reliable service.

Winemaking:
This wine was aged in seasoned American oak casks in the traditional ‘Canteiro’ system, whereby the casks were gradually transferred from the top floors of the lodge.

Clear, topaz colour with golden green highlights. Characteristic Madeira bouquet, with dried fruits, toffee, wood and spices. Medium sweet with a clean and sharp acidity. Long aftertaste with notes of spices.

Store and Serve Advices:
As an aperitif serve at a temperature of 10ºC. As a dessert wine serve at 16ºC.

Food Pairing:
Excellent as digestive, Christmas pudding, foie-gras, chocolate, crystallized fruits and cheese.

94 points - Blandys Terrantez Vintage 1977

The 1977 Terrantez, bottled in 2015, is a combination of casks 24213 and 24207. Sadly, it will be one of the last Terrantez releases from Blandy's, because all the prime vineyard land was given over to hotel construction from the 1980s onward. Chris Blandy reckons there will be three, possibly four more releases down the line. It has a very refined bouquet with dried fig, toffee apple, melted wax and orange blossom aromas that gently unfold in the glass. After ten minutes, it becomes very smooth and viscous, caressing the palate that Terrantez so often does. Equally beautiful and heartbreaking given that Terrantez is on the cusp of extinction, this is a delightful, refined Madeira suffused with sophistication. Just 1,588 bottles released. Make sure that one is yours.
