I have bought a number of cases of wine from Portugal Vineyards, usually after a holiday where I have found Portuguese wines I like, that I can't buy at home. They have a very good range and their rates for shipping to the UK are reasonable. Occasionally they have been unable to supply one of the wines in the order. This has been communicated well and it has been easy to agree suitable substitutions. I will continue to buy Portuguese wines here.

Grown in vineyards planted on chalky-clay soils with Baga grapes. Vinified through a slight pressure, in a vacuum press to obtain a juice yield that doesn't exceed 60%. It is followed by a fermentation in stainless steel vats. As the second fermentation occurs inside the bottle, the wine matures three to nine months on the lees before the necessary procedures to finish it, to reach the client in its best conditions.

Baga

Tasting Notes:
It's the colour of watermelon and has zesty flavors of bright red raspberries, cherries, red citrus, and the trademark earthiness and spice of Portuguese reds. All of the flavors are balanced out by great acid and minerality.

Store and Serve Advices:
It should be served at 8ºC to avoid destroying the flavour of the grape.

Food Pairing:
Ideal wine to accompany several menus from which we enhance the roasted suckling pig, even if accompanied with orange, since the inexistence of tannins doesn't collide with the citric taste of the orange.
