One of the more common indigenous varieties in Southern Portugal, characterized by fruit, and low tannins. Our single varietal Trincadeira bottling shows ripe plum fruit aromas with cinnamon spice and a rich, round palate with lush fruit. Made exclusively from selected Trincadeira grapes hand picked at optimum maturity from chosen sites in our own vineyards. Fermented without stems under temperature control, frequent delestage, to enhance varietal fruit characters, and to provide tannin structure and balance. Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.
Ripe, red berry and plum fruit aromas, with some earthy notes. The palate is very soft and round with rich, concentrated fruit, finishing with good acidity which gives the wine a nice freshness.
