Winemaking:
After a short fermentation period of contact between the must and the skins, a high quality grape alcohol is added to interrupt fermentation so as to preserve the sweetness of the grapes. Ageing for 8 years in oak casks previously used for malt whisky ageing in a carefully monitored environment.

91 points - Bacalhôa Moscatel Roxo Muscat 2002
A perfumed Moscatel, it features spice, honeyed fruitiness and a strong spirit character. When it was bottled, it had just begun to exhibit the old-wood aging flavors and resulting acidity.it offers a delicious orange-peel aftertaste.
