The Touriga Nacional and Alfrocheiro grapes used in this lot were harvested and vinified separately. The harvest was undertaken earlier than normal and for this reason the grapes maintained a good acidity and freshness. They were pressed very gently in a pneumatic press, without crushing or destemming, the must fermenting off skins in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of around 14ºC-16ºC. Quinta dos Carvalhais Colheita Rosé was bottled after a short maturation period of 4 months in stainless steel tanks.

Tasting Notes:
The slightly blush colour of this rosé alludes to the elegance of its aroma: smooth notes of wild fruits, such as raspberries and blackberries complemented by wonderfully elegant floral nuances. On the palate, the crisp acidity typical of the Dão region confers freshness to the wine. Refined, complex and compelling, a revived fruitiness in the mouth invites a long and harmonious finish.

Drinking Temperature 12º - 14º C.
Food Pairing:
Excellent as an aperitif, and also good with fish and salads.
