The grapes from Old Vines were transported in plastic food boxes and subjected to a rigorous sorting at the entrance of the cellar. After a gentle crushing without destemming, foot trodden in traditional stone mill where at regular intervals. Subsequently wine spirits were added, stopping the fermentation. Quinta do Crasto Porto Vintage 2015 staged in Portuguese oak barrels, where it remained for about 2 years. It was bottled, without any glue or filtration, being subject to create a slight deposit during its aging in bottle.
Opaque in color, it presents spice notes in the nose and is well integrated with fresh aromas of wild Douro fruits. In the mouth, it presents a vigorous attack, evolving into a wine of great solidity and concentration, of compact structure, where massive tannins dominate, but of elegant texture, in perfect integration with retro nasal aromas of wild fruit. A captivating wine that ends in a vibrant way, very persistent and with extraordinary potential for aging in the bottle.
