Winemaking:
The Periquita Reserva represents the true Periquita tradition as well as a vision for the future. The grape Castelão, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca indigenous grape varieties, provide Periquita Reserva with a character of sweet fruit, hints of blueberries, violets and spiciness. This wine has been aged in oak for 8 months and should be enjoyed together with tasteful dishes of meat, game or with hard cheeses. Fermentation lasts for about 7 days at 28ºC with full skin contact. Ageing for 8 months in French oak (new and used).

Tasting Notes:
Intense ruby colour. Aromas of vanilla, coffee, chocolate, cassis, violets. Very soft on the palate with well integrated tannins and good acidity.
Store and Serve Advices:
Serve at a temperature of 13oC, consume at 16ºC.
Food Pairing:
Excellent with red meat and cheese.
