Dark colour fading to red towards the edges of the glass. Hints of smoked wood and dark fruit. Good tearing on the glass. Refreshing on the tip of the tongue. A little hot on the alate, a little acidity. Raisins, caramel and a little vanilla. Long strong aftertaste with plenty of tannins. Makes a nice every day port.

Winemaking:
Vinification in cement vats. Grapes must not distemmed. 1 day pre-fermentative maceration and 2 days fermentation. Colheita is a port from a single harvest, aged in oak casks for, at least, seven years and bottled by demand. The Barão de Vilar Colheitas has been carefully selected and matured in seasoned oak casks to produce a rich mellowness with the finest balance and elegance of old tawnies.

Touriga Nacional,Touriga Franca,Tinta Roriz,Tinta Barroca,Tinto Cão

Tasting Notes:

Store and Serve Advices:
Bottle should be in the upright position, at a constant temperature and away from intense direct light. After opening, consume preferably in 6 to 8 weeks. To be served at a temperature between 14º C to 16º C.

Food Pairing:
Ready to drink, makes a delicious dessert wine and is the perfect finish to any meal.
