Winemaking:
This Frasqueira / Garrafeira, with the HM Borges seal, was gradually aged in the mild, subtropical climate of the city of Funchal, for more than 30 years, in a century-old oak cask, part of the company's estate. This wine in the Meio Doce style, from the 1986 harvest, is the result of the meticulous oenology of Jorge Borges Gonçalves and Ivo Couto, enhanced by the HM Borges casks and the strategic position of its facilities. The grapes, guided by the Latada system and harvested manually, were carefully selected, destemmed and fermented without skin contact.

Acidity and sweetness in perfect balance.

Store and Serve Advices:
It should be stored upright and once opened, the wine will remain in good condition for several months. Bottles can create natural deposits, so we recommend decanting them. It can be enjoyed pure, as an excellent aperitif.

Food Pairing:
It is excellent as a digestive and goes well with desserts and cheeses.
