Malvasia Cândida was the first grape variety to be planted on Madeira Island, in the second half of the 15th century. This wine aged for 25 years in the property's cellar, located by the sea.
Dark colour. Fresh and intense bouquet with hints of coffee, wood, some earthy notes, cloves, nutmeg and molasses. Robust on the palate with a bold citric acidity. Lingering bittersweet in the aftertaste.
Store and Serve Advices:
Serve best at 14/16ºC. It will last and maintain in good condition several months once opened.
Excellent as a digestive, with cigars or tobacco pipe.
