Winemaking:This is the Quinta do Vesuvio premium wine. The grapes are transported to the Quinta do Sol winery where, after rigorous double selection (by bunch and by berry), they are lifted in a hopper and literally dropped into the fermentation tanks using a ingenious gravity system. A portable crusher at the mouth of the tank gently pops the berries, just enough to release the juice, contributing to a soft, silky texture in the wine. After some three weeks on the skins the wines were run off into the malolactic tanks and eventually transferred into new 400 litre barrels of French oak where they spent approximately thirteen months. After a final selection just a few thousand bottles were filled.

Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby colour, intense. Fragrant aroma with hints of wild berries, rock rose and bergamot. Subtle notes smoked and roasted discreet indicate excellent integration of the wood. Concentrated and opulent, but without excess; a great harmony between power and elegance. Delicious flavours of liquorice, plum and mineral touch, all wrapped in a very polished tannins.
Store and Serve Advices:
Storage Lying down at a temperature of 15°C. Serve at a temperature of 16°C to 18ºC.
Food Pairing:
This wine finely accompanies red meats, roast beef and grilled meats.
