Quinta da Boavista Vinha do Ujo Red 2019
96 pts Revista de Vinhos - Cherry red colour. Still relatively closed needs time: mineral, red fruit, extremely fine and elegant. In the palate it shows freshness, elegance and still some hint of tannins. Vibrant texture. Very long finish.

Winemaking:
Hand selected and picked. Careful, total de-stemming and gentle pressing. Grapes are fermented in large, 500-litre French oak barrels and, after a period of maceration, transferred to 225-litre barrels, also made of French oak, for 16 months of ageing. The wine is stored for at least one year before being released to the market. No stabilization or filtration means that deposits can form with age, therefore we recommend decanting before service.

Grape Varieties:
Old vines

Tasting Notes:
Cherry red colour. Still relatively closed needs time: mineral, red fruit, extremely fine and elegant. In the palate it shows freshness, elegance and still some hint of tannins. Vibrant texture. Very long finish.

Store and Serve Advices:
Storage Lying down at a temperature of 15°C. Serve at a temperature of 16°C to 18ºC.

Food Pairing:
Pairs well with red meat dishes, baked lasagne, tapas, as well as traditional Mediterranean courses and cheeses.

Allergens:

Disclaimer:
The photo shown is a copy of one of the bottles we have available for delivery. Keep in mind that the older the wine, the more likely the bottle will have some external dirt or slightly damaged labels. This does not mean, however, that the wine is not in a condition to be consumed.
The wines from our rarity zone are stored and air-conditioned in the most correct way so that the wine ages correctly in the bottle, but over time, the wine evolves and changes its characteristics.
We recommend that you carefully remove the cork and let the wine air for some time in order to release its natural aromas. Avoid decanting as it can be a very aggressive operation for old wines.
