From the best plots of Quinta da Carregosa, the grapes were manually harvested in the batches that presented a more balanced maturation. The grapes are crushed and destemmed. Follow a 24 hour period of pre-fermentative Maceration at 30ºC to maximize the performance of the enzymes of the grape responsible for the extraction of color and aromas. Selected yeasts are used to induce the alcoholic fermentation that takes place between 22ºC and 24ºC for a minimum of 10 days. Malolactic fermentation induced with temperature control. Once the malolactic fermentation was completed, the wine was transferred to new French oak barrels where it remained for 12 months. After bottling, the wine aged in bottle 1 year before being marketed.

Ruby red color. A very complex aroma, excellent evolution in the bottle, elegant bouquet dominated by "cassis", spices, tobacco box and vanilla notes very well integrated. Lots of concentration and body, ripe tannins, excellent balance and a surprisingly long finish.
