The 1000Curvas wine was designed by Armando Soares, in partnership with son Rodrigo Soares and winemaker Pedro Mota.
Armando Soares started to dream of launching a label in the market. But what kind of wine? Go to the green classics? Enjoy the proximity of the Douro? Or go for something totally different? It made sense to risk it. In order to create a more elegant and full-bodied blend, 70% Chardonnay grapes and 30% Alvarinho grapes were planted.
Admiring his plantation from the Quinta window, Armando said: "This is the best investment of my life." He was happy to think of the name, choosing the best bottle, the label design - a process that brought him even closer to his son Rodrigo. Armando could still see the first vintage in 2014.
But that was it. An accident at the end of that year took him, tragically. For the family, the worst of shocks. How to move on? Only after the 2015 harvest, Rodrigo joins forces to resume the project. It brings to itself the mission of placing on the market the wine that the father idealized.
