NEW IN STORE: The wines that give meaning to the Quinta Várzea da Pedra in Lisbon

The Quinta Várzea da Pedra is located at the end of the village of Bombarral, in Óbidos region, in Lisbon, where the brothers Alberto Emídio and Tomás Emídio decided to bring to life the property that had been bought by their great-grandfather at the beginning of the XX century. They started by recovering and reconverting the vineyards, invested in improving the winery and with the help of the winemaker Rodrigo Martins, they launched the first wines of the brand with labels inspired by the property's tiles.

With predominant grape varieties such as Fernão Pires and Arinto, later on the Sauvignon Blanc, Touriga Nacional and Syrah were introduced in the conversion of the vineyards, giving rise to high quality wines since they are focused on following each stage of the process from harvest to bottling.

From these grape varieties used in the wines of Quinta Várzea da Pedra, the Arinto grape varity gives life to Quinta Várzia da Pedra Arinto Reserve White 2017, which reveals a citrus color, with a delicate mineral aroma, typical of the grape variety and the influence of the Atlantic Ocean. A well-structured wine, intense in the mouth, with a very persistent finish. A wine that expresses freshness, minerality and acidity in the right measure.

In addition, the Quinta Várzea da Pedra also brings the Quinta Várzia da Pedra Macerado 2017, a very pleasant white late harvest wine, acquired through Arinto and Fernão Pires grape varieties, which brings aromas of quince and berries, with floral and mineral nuances. In the mouth it is full, intense and vibrant, with a long finish that seduces.

Recently, after the introduction of the new grape varieties, the first red wine called Quinta Várzia da Pedra Reserve Red 2015 appeared, made from the Syrah and Touriga Nacional grape varieties. A well elaborated wine, which reveals a very intense ruby ??color, with an aroma of red fruits well integrated in the notes of spices and smoked notes given to 12 months of aging in French oak barrels. In the mouth it is intense, fresh and structured, with a very long finish.

Taking quality into account, we present you the new wines from Quinta Várzea da Pedra with a growing portfolio of fresh, aromatic, fruity wines, with excellent acidity and storage capacity.
