NEW IN STORE: The seasonal craft beers from 8ª Colina
Published : 03/25/2021 - Categories : Taste Room
Although, apparently, the city of Lisbon has 7 hills, in the 17th century, Frei Nicolau saw the city by the river and realized that, depending on the optical perspective, 8 hills (Colinas in Portuguese) are seen and for this reason, the founders gave the name 8ª Colina to their beers.
The 8ª Colina craft beer was born in 2015 in the Graça neighborhood in Lisbon, with the mission of spreading the beer culture in Portugal through the variety developed by them, well-known for being fresh and consistent, at the same time that they are a natural product and not pasteurized.
With a vast portfolio, today we brought the new seasonal beers that have just arrived in our store, to make our catalog even better.
Starting with the 8ª Colina 6 years Red IPA, in honor of the 6 years making beer, which resulted in a velvety combination of malts and oats with citrus and resinous hops. In addition to this, the 8ª Colina 6 years Session NEIPA composes the duo to celebrate, in a light profile as required by the style, with tropical aromas, such as pineapple, mango and citrus, in addition to a slight bitterness at the end.
Among the new arrivals, also comes the 8ª Colina Borges Imperial Stout, bringing a creaminess that allows us to appreciate the notes of caramel, coffee and dark chocolate that are protected by a thick and creamy foam, with an intriguing complexity that speaks for itself.
Whether seasonal or regular, the 8ª Colina craft beers lead us to try unique combinations, which are surprising and today we invite you to discover these flavors.
