Lisbon wines: the wines from our capital

Lisbon is not only the beautiful capital of Portugal, it is also a successful wine-producing region. A hugely successful business model was created in this region: good wines at a good price! And so, step by step, Lisbon became the largest relative exporting region in the country (Port wine aside).

Talking about Lisbon is talking about the diversity of soils, it's talking about the Atlantic always nearby and in sub-regions as different as Óbidos, Carcavelos, Bucelas, Colares...

Red wine predominates in the region with 75%, leaving 20% for white and 5% for rosé.

With such diversity, it is not possible to make a generic description of these wines, so we can only suggest you to try an Arinto from Bucelas, a fortified from Carcavelos or a distinguished wine from Colares.
