Mont'Alegre is a brand of mountain wines, produced in the highest altitude area of the country, Trás-os-Montes, signed by Francisco Gonçalves who, when acquiring the farm, dedicated himself to planting his vineyards from native grape varieties from the region.

Starting our tour with Mont'Alegre Reserve Red 2016, made from Touriga Nacional and Tinta Amarela varieties that appear to reveal aromas with intense fruit and subtle notes of toast and spices. The elegance in the mouth combines with a well-inserted acidity, in an engaging and attractive style, with a long finish that conveys all the refinement of this reference.
Elevating the senses, another wine of great prominence is Mont'Alegre Old Vines White 2018, which brings citrus notes, mineral character, in perfect harmony with the slight notes of barrel, giving it great aromatic complexity. A wine that reveals a beautiful acidity, which gives it freshness, good volume, with a complex and prolonged finish.
Passing an aging period of 18 months in new French oak barrels and 14 months in bottle, Mont'Alegre Grand Reserve Red 2015 appears as the top of the range of Francisco Gonçalves. An intense and fruity wine, with notes of spices and some notes of tea and balsamic, in addition to a light mineral. With fine and elegant tannins, it is a fresh wine, with excellent structure and personality, which ends in a long and surprising finish.
