Winemaking:
Vintage Ports are the quintessence of port wine, produced (declared”) only in outstanding years which produce exceptional wines. Rigorous selection of grapes precedes vinification aimed at maximising the extraction of aromas and colour, to obtain dense and intense tasting wines. After maturing for two years in oak vats, the Gran Cruz blend is produced by selecting wines from that year with the best organoleptic qualities and with the greatest potential to age in bottle. The wine is then placed in a dark bottle with a cork appropriate to a long life.

This Vintage Port is deeply concentrated with flavors and aromas of plums, blueberries, black cherries, vanilla, mocha and caramel. It is nicely balanced by a touch of sweetness on the palate.

Store and Serve Advices:
Should be opened two hours before serving and decanted. Serve between 17º and 18º C. Store the bottle on its side, in a cool, dry and dark place.

Food Pairing:
Vintage Ports are after meal drinks. Take them with cheese like Stilton or Gorgonzola. But you can also incorporate them into a meal, combining for instance a Steak au Poivre with a young Vintage.
